Basics of Cardiovascular Research – Between bench and bedside

This event series is aimed at early career researchers, in particular Clinician Scientists, Medical Scientists and Data Scientists in cardiovascular medicine, participants of the Clinician Scientist Programme and the Otto Hess Programme of the DGK, as well as fellows of the DZHK Clinician Scientist Fellowship.

The series covers a broad range of topics, from fundamental mechanisms and methods in basic research to translational principles and essential soft skills. The programme consists of four modules per year. The spring and autumn modules are linked to the DGK Annual Meeting and the DGK Herztage, while the summer and winter modules take place online. All events are held in English.

The complete programme runs over three years. Participants can receive a certificate if they attend at least nine events.

A panel discussion is part of every event. Questions for the panel can be submitted in advance by registered participants.
